خلاصه داستان : در لندن، زمانی که گانگسترهای استرالیایی با مبدل به نام "بابی" از مجرمان انگلیسی سرقت می کنند، اوباش بریتانیایی وحشت زده به دنبال اتحاد با اسکاتلند یارد هستند تا رقابت خارجی را از بین ببرند و اوضاع را به حالت "عادی" برگردانند.

The crooks in London know how it works. No one carries guns and no one resists the police. Then a new gang appears that go one better. They dress as police and steal from the crooks. This upsets the natural order of the police/criminal relationship and the police and the crooks join forces to catch the IPOs (Impersonating Police Officers), including an armoured car robbery in which the police must help the gangs to set a trap.

A body is found floating in the Torres Strait and pearler Ted King is asked to investigate. He discovers the murder is connected to a people smuggling ring and involves one of his men, Yusep. He is helped by Peter Merriman, the playboy owner of King's company who romances King's daughter Rusty. Yusep kidnaps Rusty but Merriman and King rescue her.
