خلاصه داستان : داستان یک مزدور سرگردان به‌نام گاتس که خود را شمشیرزن سیاه می‌نامد، پس از شکست در یک دوئل در برابر رهبر گروه هاوک یعنی گریفیت، به گروه هاوک می‌پیوندد. آنها سپس در تمامی جنگ‌ها شکست‌ناپذیر می‌شوند اما اتفاق شومی در انتظارشان است.
